Review: Hilary Duff
Review: Hilary Duff |
Posted: This CD brings back a lot of memories. In 2003-05 Hilary Duff was my favorite artist! But this tracklisting is just plain disappointing. Even though I'm not a big fan of her anymore, I loved Dignity. I was hoping she would release another dance-pop album. Instead, Hollywood Records decided to release her second compilation after only three albums. They could have used this chance to put out a really good best of, since 'Most Wanted' seemed like just a bunch of random songs by her, or something like a dance mix album of her biggest hits, to go with her new music style. Instead, they listed strictly the most popular singles from each of her albums. It begins with two new tracks, "Reach Out (and Touch Me)" and "Holiday." The former is the semi-sexual lead single. Then we get all three singles from Dignity ("Stranger", "With Love", "Play With Fire"), only one from Most Wanted ("Wake Up"), only one from Hilary Duff ("Fly") and three from Metamorphosis ("Come Clean (Non-Album Remix)", "So Yesterday", "Why Not") and then remixes of the new tracks. But missing are the soundtrack songs that made her career, like "Our Lips Are Sealed", "What Dreams Are Made Of", and her singing debut "I Can't Wait" from the Lizzie Soundtrack would have been a wonderful addition! Also missing are the radio singles "Beat of my Heart", "Someone Watching Over Me", and the Radio Disney singles like "The Math" and "Girl Can Rock." Here should be the tracklisting: 1. Reach Out 2. Holiday 3. Stranger 4. With Love 5. Play With Fire 6. Beat of My Heart 7. Wake Up 8. Someone's Watching Over Me 9. Fly 10. Our Lips Are Sealed 11.... Girl Can Rock 12. The Math 13. Come Clean (Original Album Version) 14. So Yesterday 15. What Dreams Are Made Of 16. Why Not 17. I Can't Wait 18. Reach Out (Remix) MY RATING: 3 - 4 for the songs, 2 for the tracklisting. |
